If Morrissey can forgive Jesus, why can’t CBS, ABC and NBC?
This morning I was so excited to find the new Morrissey video online!
Check it out: “I Have Forgiven Jesus”
Yeah, I know Morrissey isn’t really forgiving Jesus. Thanks for the tip. It’s just such a priceless song, I have to share it with you. Leave it to Father Moz himself to overtake Jesus.
Meanwhile, as Morrissey forgives Jesus, the major networks in the US are refusing to air a respectful United Church of Christ ad about inclusion. CBS says: “Because the commercial touches on the exclusion of gay couples and other minority groups by other individuals and organizations, and the fact the Executive Branch has recently proposed a constitutional amendment to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman, this spot is unacceptable for broadcast on the (CBS and UPN) networks.”
“It’s ironic that after a political season awash in commercials based on fear and deception by both parties seen on all the major networks, an ad with a message of welcome and inclusion would be deemed too controversial,” said Rev. John Thomas, who serves as general minister and president of the United Church of Christ (UCC). “What’s going on here?”
So Christian values are not enough for the US elites, you also need to practise the right flavour. I’m scared.
