Not to tempt fate, but it would be difficult for this week to get worse and thank god it’s coming to an end. S-l-o-w-l-y, but surely. I hate that creeping feeling of defeat, but I’m not giving up yet.
Let’s see, car accident? Check. Snowed in? Check. Missed appointments? Check. Late on deliverables? Check. Rescheduling nightmares? Check. Clothes fitting poorly? Check. Dog eating the furniture? Check. Leaking roof? Check.
When it rains it pours – inside and out.
As I await the roofers’ arrival, I’m doing a little r&d and I’ve discovered a new shopping network called zilo.com. It’s pretty neat because you don’t need anything to sell. Zilo allows anyone to start their own store by picking and choosing products from retailers like Amazon: pick your items from online catalogues, place them in your store, advertise (tell friends/family) and ka-ching. Each time something sells from your store, you make a commission.
I think it’s an excellent idea, but I already have an Etsy store in desperate need of an update and who has the time for something new? Well, hmmm, maybe… what would I sell? Hmmm… wonder if anyone’s started an Elliott Smith store? I type “Elliott Smith” into their search engine and you know what I get back? A link for the book “Depression for Dummies”.
Tricksters. Sorta sums up my week – a comedy of errors.
Here’s a nice picture of how I feel – I’m the one at the top.
Warning… dead rats were harmed in the making of what you will see. Weak stomach? Forget about it. Elliott Smith fan with no sense of humour? Save your soul, run away.
