Mouse tagger, you make me sad.
Elliott Smith fans will recognise this wall from the Figure 8 art work. Since his death in 2003, the wall has become an ever-evolving mecca for Smith fans to leave messages or have their photo taken - much like the John Lennon wall in Prague (minus the political/historical context).
This week the wall was badly defaced. Of course this is symptomatic of bigger problems and sure it’s highly unlikely that the tagger even knew who Smith was, but I can’t help but be saddened by this.
